Life is a bit slower here. The only traffic jam may be the occasional tractor or tourist driving slowly to fully absorb the beautiful scenery. Yes, Scenic Highway lives up to its name.
Located 25 miles south of Harrisonburg and 15 miles northwest of Staunton, this is country living at its finest. Far enough away from the city scene to enjoy privacy, peace and quiet, nature and your own center of recreation. Yet close enough to town for shopping, arts, and culture. It’s just a short drive to theatre, art galleries, wine tours, museums, and 4 universities.
In Staunton, visit the Frontier Culture Museum, Shakespeare Theatre, and Friday night art gallery openings. Take in local sports events or take in a football game at nearby UVA, JMU, or Bridgewater College.

Ride your bike to Natural Chimneys park and through scenic Mt. Solon and Stokesville, or tackle rugged mountain bike trails. Join in or sit and relax in the gazebo and watch the Shenandoah Fall Foliage Bike Tour come rolling past.

If fishing is more your style, there is fly fishing at nearby Mossy Creek and 3 lakes stocked with keeper-sized rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill, and catfish.
Travel is easy with daily flights from Shenandoah Valley Airport to Dulles on United. www.flyshd.com. Dulles Airport is just a 2 hours drive. Amtrak services Staunton to NYC with several stops per week. I-81 and I-64 are easily accessible.
